STORT REPORT ON CLASSROOM CONSTRUCTION.

1. Preliminaries

It is with a heart full of gratitude to God and to our Donors I write this short report about the construction of a classroom at Masimbani primary school at Mkalamo ward in Tanzania. Masimbani primary school came from the idea of the local people living in Masimbani village. Given the situation they had no school in their village. They decided to contribute little of what they could to construct a school for their children so that both can school nearby instead of attending to a school in neighbour village. The school in the neighbour village in consideration is far and the young children could hardly attend.

On their struggle they search for some assistance to bring about the existence of a complete school with eight classrooms, offices for teachers, a kitchen, and house for the teacher as they need to be accommodated within the school compound for the security of children as its of vital important. At the moment thanks to Humanitas Aichach who have helped with the construction of three classes, the villagers have constructed two classes and the government has constructed two classes and one office. The villagers have as well contributed manually in collecting stones and sand for the construction of the both the seven classed constructed by now and the office. The government has taken charge of the school by registration and supply the teachers and all the monitoring of the academic progress of the school. At the moment with the new class completed they have seven classes, which may be enough for them as came next three years the primary school will need only such number and not eight classes. With the change in primary school curriculum in Tanzania, they need one classroom for nursery class and the six classrooms for primary one to primary six. As the school runs at the moment, primary one and two uses one classroom and alternate one class in the morning and another in the afternoon.

The school has been in need for a classroom as came next year they could not operate without. This year they arrived at primary six and next year 2025 they needed a classroom for primary seven class. They wrote a letter to ask for assistance as the government could not help and the villages being in low income they were ready to contribute manually but not in cash donation. I communicated it to Humanitas Aichach and out of their generosity they decided to support as with the cash to construct the classroom.

2. The classroom construction.

We received the first transfer of money in the Rosminian health centre account on 22^nd June 2024

The first stage was to ask the villagers through their leaders to collect sand and stones. They did that full heartedly and the payment for the transportation was made. We transported the sand collected to the school compound for the work.
